Suite 201 was home of BÜRO47's predecessor firm, Dandyk+Wollin Architects. Suite 201 was previously dark and divided by a network of obstructive interior portions. Low artificial lighting levels and tired finishes contributed to an environment not conducive to creative productivity. The DWA team designed a total renovation involving removing partitions, building custom furniture, brightening the space, and much more. The studio featured an open plan with a large timber 'workbench' running down the centre of the space for employees, bespoke fixtures and furnishings crafted by local artisans, and classic pieces of modern design. An emphasis was placed on the natural beauty of wood by exposing it in a variety of ways throughout the space.
